The Social Dance will be from 8:30-11:00pm in the Grand Ballroom, the same location the competition will be held the next day.
If you need to meet with your housing host and believe you will be arriving later than that, please email details to the housing coordinator.

How to read the competition schedule:

The dances in parentheses are danced as a single event. For example (W) (T) are two separate events of Waltz and Tango. On the other hand (W/T) is one event that has both Waltz and Tango in it.

W=Waltz, F=Foxtrot, T=Tango, VW=Viennese Waltz, Q=Quickstep, C=Cha Cha, R=Rumba, S=Samba, Sw=Swing, J=Jive, B=Bolero, M=Mambo, PD=Paso Doble

Note: The events will be interleaved -- ie, the order of events will be the 1st round of bronze, then the 1st round of newcomer, then the 1st round of silver, and so forth.

Saturday, November 5, 2011, Matinee Session

Doors and practice floors open at 7:00am.

Competition starts at 8:00am

Note: There will not be separate American and International style matches. Each couple in each event may pick whichever style they prefer. Also, each school/studio is allowed one championship team and one rookie team.

Saturday, November 5, 2011, Evening Session

The Saturay Evening Sessions begins at 7:00 PM.

Each of the top 3 couples in Championship Standard and each of the top 3 couples in Championship Latin will be invited to perform a 3-5 minute show dance to their own music at the end of the Saturday evening session adding up to a total of 6 show dances. Show dances will not be judged - they are performances. Couples will receive a $250 stipend for each show dance. Please contact the organizers for more details.
