Amateur Status
DC DanceSport is strictly an Amateur-Amateur competition. Pro-Am and Professional partnerships are strictly prohibited from competing at DC DanceSport Inferno.
Registration Rules
Information regarding the registration rules for DC DanceSport Inferno can be found on the registration page. Registration rules include:

Syllabus
The competition will be strictly invigilated! All dancers competing in syllabus events are required to follow the syllabi published below.
DCDI will use both the WDSF and ISTD syllabi for the International styles. It will also use USA Dance’s syllabus for the American styles, as it covers most studios’ syllabi. All dancers competing in syllabus events must abide by these syllabi and rules. Copies of the syllabi can be found below:

Costume Restrictions
The competition will be strictly invigilated! All dancers competing in syllabus events are required to follow adhere to the below costume policy.

No stones, feathers, or floats are allowed in newcomer and bronze levels. If you do not follow these guidelines, you will be asked to change or make any necessary adjustments.
Costumes are discouraged in syllabus levels.
All costumes are subject to the organizer’s discretion.

Nor can BAM be held liable for injury sustained by persons attending the event; it being hereby stated that persons attending the event do so at their own risk.
The organizers of this event, University of Maryland College Park, and the Campus Recreation Services are not responsible or liable for any lost or stolen items or injury.
